Dr. Nespolon was elected President in September 2018 of the RACGP, which is a strident advocate for 39,000 members and patients.
He is the former Chair of GP Synergy, the largest GP regional training organisation in Australia, that provides training for all training GPs in NSW.
With a background in law, he worked at the Federal Office of the Australian Medical Association lobbying politicians and working with private and not-for-profits promoting better health care. After completing his MBA he worked as a management consultant on large financial, insurance and telecommunications projects.
Currently, a community member of the Dieticians Association, Medicine’s Australia Code of Conduct Committee and the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority Mental Health Health Working Group.
Professional qualifications include: a Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and Australian College of Legal Medicine (FACLM). He has also qualified for a Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
