Ben Chiarella
Ben Chiarella is the Director of Clinical Innovation at Ramsay Connect. He was previously the Deputy CEO and Chief Nursing Officer of The Rural and Remote Medical Services Charity. He has a wealth of experience in managing change and driving innovation and operational performance across Health, Aged Care and Community Services.
Ben has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Human Movement and Health Education), a Masters of Business (Human Resources and Marketing) and a Masters of Nursing from the University of Sydney.
Ben came to nursing later in his career after starting out in Human Resources management including experience across Human Resources, Recruitment and Restructuring. However, the love of change and innovation drew him towards health in his early 30s.
Ben has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities around rural and remote health, chronic disease, and ageing both as a Registered Nurse and in his role designing innovative programs to support older people to age in place. He comes with a strong reputation as a people manager and thought leader on rural health, with extensive networks in rural and regional health sector both in NSW and Nationally.
