Darren Rogers

General Manager and Director of Clinical Services at UnitingCare’s St Stephen’s Private Hospital, Hervey Bay, Queensland

Darren has over 20 years’ experience in the private hospital sector, having commenced his career as nurse in the United Kingdom, with a speciality in ICU nursing.
Darren moved to Australia in 2006 as the Director of Clinical Services with Healthscope in Melbourne, and has since held various General Manager and CEO roles with Healthscope, Ramsay Health and St John of God Healthcare.

Darren has considerable experience managing regional hospitals, having held the role of General Manager for the Darwin Private Hospital and most recently as Divisional Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Bendigo Hospital, which has 166 beds.

Through these regional roles, he gained experience building strong relationships with doctors and local communities to support business growth, achieving improvements in business performance, clinical outcomes, employee engagement and organisational culture.
Darren has a Masters of Cardiology and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
