Dr Chris Irwin

Chris is a staunch advocate for General Practice. Chris graduated medical school in 2006. During medical school he was awarded many prizes including the Marjorie McCallum Medal in Medicine (highest result in medical distinction exams), the Stanley Wilson Prize in Surgery, the JAD Iverach Prize in Clinical Medicine (Runner up), and received the Dean’s commendation.

He has a master’s degree in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland.  Chris became a fellow of the RACGP in 2014 and opened his first practice in 2015.  He is currently owner of two general practices that offer full general practice as well as special interest areas in skin cancer, shared care and more.

Chris is a firm believer in General Practice being the central pillar in healthcare and tries to create practices with like minded expert GPs in which the vast majority of care can be managed safely on site.
