Dr Dawda became involved as a member of the guidelines development group with the National Collaborating Centre for Chronic Conditions (NICE). The experience exposed Dr Dawda to a way of working including addressing pertinent research questions, using the PICO approach to identify research to answer those questions and to incorporate health economics analysis. The goal was to use a balanced approach to inform decision making aimed at delivering public value.
